What is Lip Blush Tattoo?
Lip blush tattoo is a semi permanent form of cosmetic tattooing (also called Micropigmentation). It is done with a permanent makeup machine to do color corrections, add color in case of very pale lips, to correct the lip line (if none existent) or simply to make the lips look fuller and juicier naturally by adding a pigment without having to put lipstick every day!

Why are the lips so big afterwards?
Are you using fillers?
No I don’t use any lip fillers! The swelling is only a temporary reaction. Lips are very sensitive they tend to swell very easily. By tattooing them they get very inflamed. Sometimes even little bruising can occur. All these reactions will be gone by the next day.

How does the healing process look?
Right after the session they’ll be very swollen, some people have no swelling but 90% do so please be prepared for that.
IMPORTANT: don’t make any important plans after the session. No shootings or meetings work related.
By the second day the lips are almost back to normal. Swelling is almost all gone. The color will be stronger though. On the third and fourth day the scabbing will start and the lips will start to peel. The pigment heals up to 50% lighter. Please keep that in mind before deciding for a color.

What do I have to do for aftercare?
Lips heal quite fast! Usually after 7 days it’s all done. It’s important to keep them clean and wash them twice a day with water and natural soap and then put Aquaphor creme from Eucerin to moisturize them properly! Lips get very dry especially after the scabbing that’s why it’s important to always put creme.

Does the treatment hurt?
I get this question the most and it’s very hard to answer. Same goes for Microblading, it really depends on each person! Some people have more pain than others. In general it is not completely pain less, lips are very sensitive. But I do pre numb and numb in between and it is not as bad as it might seem.

Is a touchup necessary?
This depends on the color you choose, meaning if you choose a color that is much darker or stronger than your natural lip color you’ll probably need a touchup. It also depends on your skin type, if there is much bleeding and how good your lips are taking the pigment.
In general it’s 50/50. It’s not always necessary to do a touchup. Way less than with Microblading.
